The valley has always been a place for sound. Not just the obvious sounds, the wind, the water, the birds, but the sounds people bring here. The music that gets made in basements and barns, the radio shows that drift through the hills from stations no one can quite tune in, the recordings that happen because someone had a four-track and a free afternoon.
Balm Valley Authority is an attempt to gather some of that energy and give it a home.
What We're Doing
We're launching a record label. Small, intentional, artist-first. We're not chasing streams or playlists; we're chasing records that matter, that sound like they were made by humans with something at stake.
We're also launching a radio show. A weekly broadcast of music, conversation, and whatever else fits. It'll live here on the site and on the usual platforms.
What Comes Next
Music and marketing. Two pillars that don't seem like they belong together until you think about it for a minute. We'll write about both here.
